BEST HOCKEY MEMORIES:

Playing for the Manchester Storm between 1995 and 1997. But unfortunately it was the beginning of the end for us Brits.

WORST HOCKEY MEMORIES:

That sinking feeling when you realise you are going to miss some games through injury.

BIGGEST INFLUENCE WITHIN ICE HOCKEY:

I have learnt different things from most of the people I have shared the ice with since I started at 15. Brian Collier, Graham (SKATE or I will kill you) Horlock, all of the old Metros players from Tony (let's have a fight on summer hockey) Harcourt, Ged Smith, Dave Shep, Paul Fleury etc to the many imports I have watched / played with, Olly, Moose, Greg Biskup, Dan (sorry) Daniel Dorian, Rick Fera, Sylvain Naud, Igor Urchenko, Vlad Kirik to mention just a few, and of course my Dad.

PEOPLE YOU ADMIRE WITHIN ICE HOCKEY:

Kurt Kleinendorst because of his knowledge of the game and the way he communicates it to his players. Oleg Sinkov amazed me with his skill and intelligence as a player, he was a really nice guy as well. But most of all I will never forget the time I went to his house and met his Russian speaking dog.

DREAM HOCKEY LINE (BRITS):

G: Steven Foster D: Steven Cooper, Paul Dixon F: Jonathan Weaver, Tony Hand, David Smith

DREAM LINE (FOREIGNERS):

I don't watch a lot of NHL it's on too late and I wouldn't find time to watch it if I recorded it. So I've compiled this list from foreigners who have played over here.

G: Frank Pietrangelo. D: Dale Jago, Kris Miller. F: Oleg Sinkov, Rick Brebant, Jeff Tomlinson

THOUGHTS ON BRITISH HOCKEY:

We have enough people here in Manchester to put together a knowledgeable and experienced group of people that could develop a first class, well run and well supported Hockey club with some talented British players as its backbone. All that we need is a rink. I can't think beyond that at the moment because without a home rink there is no British Ice Hockey for many of us.

ADVICE FOR YOUNG PLAYERS:

General skating is whare you learn to skate so keep going. Always work as hard as you can. Learn from the good and bad plays you see others make. Respect your coach, team mates and supporters. Never give up. Head man the puck. Shoot as hard as you can. Keep the puck deep. Don't mess about on either of the blue lines. Keep your head up. Tape your stick from heel to toe and always have a p**s before you leave the changing room for the start of each period. Most important of all enjoy playing and have fun.
